Skull attached to the skeleton of Sumatran rhino in Museo La Specola of the University of Florence, Italy (no. 735). The animal was collected in Indonesia and was registered in August 1824. The specimen has been examined in 2007 and the identity was definitely established as a specimen of Dicerorhinus sumatrensis. Information from Dr Paolo Agnelli (2014).
