Kwazulu Natal auction, 23 June 2001 Live auction White rhinoceros, 44 animals, highest R 550.000, average R 176.785 Black rhinoceros, 6 animals, each R 550.000 The black rhinos came from Mkhuze Game Reserve, sold to game farmer Herman van Schalkwijk in the Northern Province. A white rhino mother and new calf were sold for R550.000 to Kobus du Toit from Hoedspruit.
