The last rhinoceros obtained in these parts was shot by the Hon. R. Drummond, I believe, near the boundary of the Pilibhit district in the early 1870's.

The jungles round Biknatori in the eastern Tarai of Nepal, to the north of Champaran District of Bengal - It was in this neighbourhood that in 1911, King George V and party had bagged 39 tigers, 18 rhinoceros and 4 bears.
