The animal in Rio de Janeiro drank for the first 5 days milk taken from the mother. Also later the young was given from the bottle twice a day about 6 liter of cow milk.

One born on 14 Feb 1954, mother very tame.

The sexual cycle seems to be some 3 ? weeks.

First black rhino born 7 Oct 1941, followed by a second one.

The cow was regularly mated during pregnancy.
