Reported that a permit for trapping of rhino in the Ulu Bernam Reserve had been issued on behalf of the National Zoo. Apart from the considerations as to the suitability of zoos in general as conservation projects, he considered that it was thoroughly improper to start a trapping project in a reserve, especially when rhino were present elsewhere.
