Death of the rhinoceros at the Calcutta Zoo. All vistors to the Zoo will be sorry to learn that the young rhinoceros has come to an untimely end. On Sunday morning he was found dead, floating in the tank in his enclosure, and though it was sugegsted that he might have died from snake-bite or committed suicide, a post mortem examination showed that death resulted from chronic pleurisy. He was a great favourite with the public, and it will be a matter of some difficulty to replace him. - Englishman
