Insofar as the Khama Rhino Sanctuary is concerned, unfortunately, we do not have a direct involvement in that matter other than the early initiative and the support that we have given the committee in Serowe. There have been a number of setbacks in the acquisition of land, but we understand that a portion of this has since been acquired. The gentlemen handling this are Tony Ballentine and Ray Watson of Serowe.
We will be carrying out the aerial survey of black rhino in northern Botswana from 17 September to 5 October 1992 under the direction of Peter Hitchins. This project is carried out in conjunction with the Department of Wildlife and National Parks and funding that Rhino & Elephant Foundation has secured through the World Wide Fund for Nature in Hong Kong.
