Wild caught male Arjun arrived in Berlin in 1959. In 1960 sent to Basel in order to replace the male there which had died some months earlier. In 1965 a new pair was received in Berlin, Miris and Gauhati, born in 1964. Miris went to Basel to mate with Arjun. Ahe delivered a male sent to Amsterdam. In 1974, Miris went again to Basel for 11 months. Another male baby Heiner was born on 18 Feb 1976.
