Six black rhinos were transported from Etosha to Aughrabies. The numbers in Etosha has increased due to the importation of 40 black rhinos from farms in the area.

Aughrabies received its black rhinos a year ago. They were caught in Etosha NP in SW Africa by the Directorate of Nature Conservation. They were transported from Otjovasandu to Aughrabies. One female died when she fell off a cliff. The other five are alright, including a bull known as `Ou Arrie'.
