In 1985 6 black rhinos were translocated from Etosha NP, Namibia. One female died during the operation when she fell into a ravine. The other five animals all received names: Blompot, Plooitjies, Stompie, Willeman and Arrie. In Oct 1987, Blompot gave birth to the first calf in the park. In 1989, Blompot had her second baby.
