Additions to Weston Park Museum [with a black rhinoceros from Nigeria]

Note
Location Nigeria Species Black Rhino (bicornis)

The specimen the article refers to was presented on the 20/11/1922 by George Wild Staniforth. It is accessioned under number A1922.13. I can confirm that it is a black rhinoceros from Dumjo, Yola Provence, Northern Nigeria. It died (presumably was shot) on 20/11/1910 and mounted by the London taxidermist, Rowland Ward. I can also confirm that we still have the specimen.
