Philips Angel

Watercolour by the Dutch artist Philips Angel (1616-1683) – signed “P. Angel fecit”. It shows a Javan rhinoceros, similar to the one published by Bontius in 1658. The drawing is undated. See on this drawing: Dittrich 1997.
