Note the rhinoceros in the stall on the left, which is likely the female exhibited in the Berlin Zoo from 1874, and the type of Rhinoceros jamrachi. This is a plate from a series of images designed for use of the popular Guckkasten (Peep-box) issued by Johann Christian Winckelmann (1766–1845) under the name Winckelmann und Söhne in Berlin from the 1860s.
