Postcard. “Rhinocéros Indien”
Carl Hagenbeck imported this young rhinoceros from Nepal (as one of four specimens) in April 1907. After arrival the Zoo purchased the older calf for 25,000 francs. A published account indicates this animal was still alive in 1910 at the Antwerp Zoological Garden.
