Bertha and Bruno at the North Carolina Zoological Park
Three Black rhinos arrived at the zoo in April 1974 from Kenya. One female died thirteen days after arrival. Bruno died at the zoo in February 1977. Bertha was translocated to the the Buffalo Zoo in November 1978. Photo W.F. Boerner, 1976
