Hunting a rhinoceros in Java, and capturing the baby. Scene depicted by Count Emanuel Andrássy de Mano Csikszentkiraly Et Krasznahorka (1821-1891). Plate absent in the Hungarian edition of 1853. The plate is attributed to the “Comte Andrasi” as draughtsman, and to Victor Adam (1801-1866) and Eugene Ciceri (1813-1890) as engravers. Set in Java, the actual animals should represent R. sondaicus.
