White rhinos in captivity

Male and female, received 7 April 1950, acquired from the Game Preservation Dept of the Anglo Egyptian Sudan.

Around 1949 Hartley captured a pair northern white rhino as very young animals. He keeps them on his ranch on the laikipia plains at Rumuruti.

Male and female arrived 28 July 1957, acquired by purchase.

Male and female received 4 Sep 1956, from Uganda through dealer Seago.

Male and female received 25 July 1955, purchased from dealer Seago.

Female received 29 July 1946, found in Umfolozi GR on 24 July 1946 when not one day old. Male received 16 Jan 1949, still shown Female received 23 Aug 1952. This pair was presented by Natal Parks Game and Fish Preservation Board.
