Newsletter, vol.1 no.1 published in October 1996. The foundation was established in 1994 as a non-governmental organisation to help preserve the Indian rhinoceros and other endangered wildlife and their habitat in North-East India. The Foundation started functionally in May 1995 when a full-time executive joined the organisation. Trustees: R. Adige, K.S. David, R.l. Rikhye, M.P.S. Sidhu and Mrs A. Wright, chairperson. Chief executive is Dr Anwaruddin Choudhury. Emblem has head of Indian rhino.
