Godwin-Austen, from privately held papers. Spent some seasons in the East India region in 1870s, this probably refers to Eastern Manipur. Text: Haversham did not seem to take part in much large game shooting. Indeed, he seems more concerned about extinction, as he mentions for example the disappearance of the rhinoceros from a particular area, probably, he suggests, because of excessive 'jooming'.
