In 1961 10 white rhino were translocated to Murchison NP. In 1964, an operation described here moved 8 rhino to Murchison NP. Out of 8 rhino secured, only 5 remained alive. Two cows and a calf died.

A calf captured in a translocated exercise in 1964, had been shipped to Entebbe's new zoo, but contracted pneumonia and died.
