The rhinoceros, both Rhinoceros sondaicus and Rhinoceros sumatrensis are now entirely preserved. This may retard for some years the process of extermination. I think I shall not be wrong in stating that the only Tapir and Rhinoceros of Burma that we shall see finally will be animals that have been preserved in Zoos and Museums.
