Sale of rhinoceros in London on 31 March 1834.

This is probably the Indian rhino (R. unicornis) which was exhibited at the Surrey Zoological Gardens owned by Edward Cross from 5 April 1834. Date of death unknown.

A fine young female Rhinoceros, about fifteen months old, just imported. She will be sold at One o’clock, and to be delivered in good health at Messrs.
Mangle’s Docks, Wapping, immediately if required.
