Rhinoceros unicornis Distribution.- The Terai and country between the Himalayas and the Ganges; from Rohilkund (Jerdon) in the west to Assam; it was formerly plentiful in the Purneah district, but now seems to be almost confined to the Doars to the east of the Teesta River.
