Black Rhino (bicornis)
Kioko, the baby rhino from Amboseli, is progressing well. He is strong and healthy and he spends only the night inside the hospital. During the day, he stays in a large outdoor pen with three goats to keep him company. He gets plenty of exercise in trying to herd them around the pen, and he is becoming very independent. It is hoped that when he is old enough to fend for himself that he will be released back into Amboseli.
