On bibliographies and unpublished reports

Out of 115 items listed in the bibliographies on rhinos in a recent Pachyderm issue, there are 51 references (44 %) to dissertations (2), manuscripts (3), personal communications (10) and unpublished reports (37). The information in these sources is largely unverifiable. Reports should be prepared for publication with the most important results.
