Circumstances have necessitated the capture of only 3 white rhino in Kruger NP, but the long series which have been successfully immobilised in the Natal Parks proved that adults of this species, ranging in 3000 to 5000 lbs body weight, may be safely and reliably restrained by the injection of 1.5-3.0 mg M-99 with or without adjuvants.
