The rhinoceros is hunted by the Punans, who lie in wait for him beside the track by which he comes down to his daily mud-bath, and drive a spear into his flank or shoulder; then, hastily retiring, they track him through the forest until they come on him again, when they drive in another spear or a poisoned darts. [Punans live in mid-Sarawak].
