According to G.D. Khisarova (Akademya Nauk Kazakhskoy SSR) the rhinoceros remains may be ascribed to Dicerorhinus cf etruscus Falconer (1859).

This represents one of the very few records of R. etruscus Falconer 1859 (= Dicerorhinus etruscus = Stephanorhinus etruscus) in the ex-USSR. Leybman (1960) reports on other S. etruscus remains from the Dnestr near Kamenez-Podol’sk.
