The Mysore and Baroda zoos made a historically sensible and conservation wise exchange recently when the Mysore Zoo gave Baroda a young pair of African black rhinos in exchange for Baroda's zoo single female Indian rhinoceros. Mysore's female Indian rhinoceros is too old to breed while their male is a young healthy bachelor.
