Results were for Diceros bicornis : 2n=84, with 4 metacentric pairs, 37 acrocentric pairs. For Ceratotherium simum : 2n=82, with 0 metacentric pairs and 40 acrocentric pairs. The sex chromosomes of the rhinos resemble those of the horse.
