Kagera – cinderella of Africa’s parks

Kagera National Park created on 26 November 1934 at the instigation of the Institute of National Parks of the Belgian Congo. There are still a handful of anxiously guarded black rhino in the thorn scrub near the Kagera River in the remote eastern parts of the park.
