Greater One-horned Rhino (unicornis)
Two greater Indian rhinos are on display at The ZOO, Gulf Breeze, Florida, on a 3/4 acre exhibit that opened last December [1995]. The adult female and her one-year old calf vame to The ZOO from San Diego Wild Animal Park. The exhibit is offset from the ZOO's 30-acre wildlife preserve and incorporates a fry snadhill, swamp and wallowing hole.
