Type locality of Rhinoceros holmwoodi. The animal was collection from the `north-east point of Usukuma, 50 miles south of Speke Gulf.' Usukuma is a large tribal area lying between Lake Victoria and Unyamwezi, between 2.23 and 4.00 S and 32.53 - 34.30 E.
