The photograph represents the famous “Klagenfurt Drake”, also known as “Der Klagenfurter Lindwurm”. The monument was erected in Klagenfurt in 1590 after a discovery of a rhinoceros skull not far from the town. At that time, the skull was believed as belonging to a drake, one of the most popular imaginary animals.
