On 14 May 2005, Dr Joe Cain, President of the Society for the History of Natural History (London) awarded the Society’s Founder Medal to L.C. (Kees) Rookmaaker. The medal is awarded for ’eminence in the fields of the history and/or bibliography of natural history’.
