See Clarke 1986 fig. 103, also Van der Ham 2022, fig. 57. – The rhinoceros clock was still in the Palazzo Pitti in 1805, described in an inventory with the maker’s name as ‘Pyerr le Roy’ (Archivio di Stato, Floremce, Imperiale e Real Corte, 1298). Pierre Le Roy (1717-1785) was a well-known horologist.
