Mounted skin of an Indian rhino in a german collection. This is “Nepali”, born est. 1928 in Kaziranga Reserve. In 1930 donated by the Maharajah of Nepal to Tierpark Hagenbeck, Hamburg.
“Nepali” died there in Jan. 1955.

– Note that the RRC deplores the recent thefts of rhino horn from public museums. The real horns have now been removed to secure locations, while those on display are made of different material. We do not usually disclose the locality of the specimen.
