
Black rhino snared in the Mkhuze River, Zululand, South Africa in November 1960, which Gush photographed when he was employed as a ranger there. The stories of both these rhinos is told in Reg Gush’s book “Mkhuze – The Formative Years” under the chapters “Poaching” (chapter 5) and “Wake up, we’ve brought you a rhino” (chapter 9).
