‘Shaka’ weighed 100 lbs. on the day he was born (28 Aug 1972). In 1987 this male rhino was translocated to the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, Texas. ‘Shaka’ transferred to the McCombs Ranch (Johnson City, Texas) in 1994.
