This is the title page from the 2nd vol. of Michael Bernhard Valentini’s (1657-1729) Museum Museorum (Museum of Museums); a comprehensive survey of European Wunderkunst und Shatzkammern (treasuries). At the bottom Valentini has lefted the image of François Leguat’s ‘Divers Kinds of Rhinoceros’ (1708) to complete his design.
