Thomas Landseer (1795-1880) made seveal studies of the Exeter Change rhino in 1814 and published this hand colored steel engraving 21 years later. Thomas was the brother of Edward, Queen victoria’s favorite animal painter. Much of Thomas’ work interpreted his brother’s paintings into prints.
