Dr. James Parsons drawings

1421920731

This drawing on the backside of another front and back view was most likely drawn by Dr. James Parsons in 1739. He seemed to be concerned with the proportions of the head on both this and the one on the opposite side as well as a drawing found in Parsons’ personal collection in the Glasgow University Library. There are many similarities with this drawing and that of his poster print entitled Pinokepoc, done the same year. The ears are identical as well as the collar folds. The front feet position has been reversed, which could have been the choice of the engraver.
