Copper engraving by Friedrich Campe “Das Rhinoceros von Gellert”. This illustrates the poem on “Der arme Greis” by Christian Furchtegott Gellert: “Um das Rhinoceros zu segn, (Erzahlte mir mein Feund), beschloss ich auszugehn.” Refers to the visit of Clara, the Indian rhino to Leipzig in 1747.
