Current evidence suggests this Black rhino pair consists of ‘Joe’ (M) and ‘Julie’ (F). Joe was imported from East Africa by Carr Hartley in May 1969. Julie was imported from Kenya by W. Schulz in July 1971. Between 1974 and 1986 this breeding pair produced five calves.
