“Bertram’s rhino”. A photograph taken during one of the hunts of the Maharajah of Cooch Behar. The rhino was shot on 6 December 1895, first by General Arthur Yeatman Biggs and Captain Lister, with final bullet fired by Captain William Bertram. The animal measured 391 cm in length (including tail) and 201 cm high. Published p.165 in Nripendra Narayana Bhupa, Maharajah of Cooch Behar, 1908.
