Het word bekend gemaakt, dat alhier van deeze Week in Groningen op de Markt in de Tent, nog kan worden gezien het groote Wonderdier RHINOCEROS, zynde de eenigste in geheel Europa, en dewelke zulk een Lichaams gestalte heeft, dat de geene welke het nooyt gezien heeft tot groote verwondering moet zyn. ‘t Dier eed daagelyk 70 Pond hooy; 15 Pond Brood en Drinke 14 Emmers met Water, het zelve kan gezien worden ‘s morgens van 8 tot 12 en ‘s namiddaags van 2 tot ‘s avonds 7 uuren.
English translation
It is announced that this week, the large wonder animal RHINOCEROS can still be seen in the tent on the market square in Groningen. It is the only one in all of Europe and has such a physical shape that it must be a great surprise to anyone who has never seen it. The animal consumes 70 pounds of hay daily, 15 pounds of bread, and 14 buckets of water. It can be seen in the morning from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and in the afternoon from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
