The newspaper announced that the rhinoceros was exhibited outside the Utregtse Poort of Amsterdam on 30 August 1755 (source 7651). Later on 18 September it was announced that the animal was going to be exhibited on the Botermarkt in Amsterdam later in 1755 (source 7652). The fair was held annually in September.
The Utregtsepoort or Utrechtsepoort was located at current Frederiksplein. The Bootermarkt or Botermarkt was renamed Rembrandtplein in the 19th century.
