The town of Delft granted permission to Gerrit Harting to show the rhinoceros from 12 June 1742 (source 1851).

Delft is 16 km north of Rotterdam.

1742. Gerrit Harting gepermitteert te moogen verthonen een Rhinoceros in een schip; mits betalende 6 gulden voor den armen, van den 12 Juny, de tijd niet gelimiteert. –

English translation

Permission granted to Gerrit Harting to show the rhinoceros in a boat from 12 June 1742. He has to pay 6 guilders to the poor. The period is not limited.
