Until June 10th 2018, at Fort Bard (Valle d'Aosta, NW Italy) the 53rd edition of the “Wildlife Photographer of the Year” is presented. Among the most beautiful images of the 2017 animal and vegatal world won the first prize the shot of Brent Stirton with “Memorial to a species”. The photo immortalizes a black rhinoceros just struck and mutilated by its horn in the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park (South Africa) to underline the urgent need of humanity to protect our planet and its living species. |
