The Zoological Gardens. – The young rhinoceros has been broken in, not like the donkey in the cart, but like his big relation, the elephant, to saddle, and is ridden by his keeper round the enclosure of his abode. We understand that anyone willing to pay a rupee may also have a ride, and the ride is certainly worth the money, as this is the first known instance of a rhinoceros submitting to be mounted.
